The American Bar Association highlighted the crime of sex trafficking in a recent article and event in California. Because of its Midwest location, connection to multiple highway systems, and large airport, Illinois has the seventh highest amount of sex trafficking activity compared to other states.
On Friday, September 20th, the Jewish Community Against Sex Trafficking (JCAST) Chicago is partnering with DePaul University, College of Law’s Schiller DuCanto & Fleck Family Law Center, and attorney Helen Tarokic of Helen Tarokic Law PLLC of Wilmington, NC to offer a unique program exploring the connection between immigration, trafficking, and domestic violence.
